Warmth Company has been a place for me to take 10 minutes out of my busy day and dream a little. I’ve enjoyed looking at the cookbooks, pillows, couches, dishes ~ all those things that make our home warm and cozy! Fortunately, I have met new friends at Warmth Company. To make a long story short… this has been a rough year. Selling a home and losing my Mother. One day I needed my 10 minute fix at Warmth Company. I learned that Monica and Naomi recently lost their Dad. We visited how hard it is to lose a loved one. It’s comforting to chat with someone who can relate without a lot of words!
We talked of how we can all get caught up in our busy lives, and how we all needed a little change. One of my favorite sayings is “time to change the channel”.
Monica said she has wanted to start a ‘Cookbook Club’ before her Dad died. I was so excited because this sounded like just what we all needed, a little warm company and great food. Monica picked the cookbook and gave everyone their homework assignments. My recipe was this great roasted black bean salad. Really easy and delicious. This new Cookbook Club is something to look forward to. I love trying new recipes, enjoying healthy food and being inspired by another’s home. Entertaining and cooking can be intimidating but really it is simple – an invitation.
