This week Monica and Naomi ventured to San Francisco on a shopping trip.
The day began with the CALA apparel show at the lovely and historic Westin Saint Francis in Union Square.
So many new colors and designs to choose from.
After a lot of deliberation and the trying on of fabulous garments,
we have a great selection of new and favorite styles on their way to our store.
We know you all love Prairie Underground!
We can’t wait to show you the new styles in each shipment..
We also have this super soft and fun vest, along with some sweaters,
lacy slips and oversized capes from a new line on order for a Fall arrival.
Next we had lunch at the Fresh Market Cafe at Neiman Marcus.
A few doors down from our lunch spot was a quaint, very little hat shop.
While eating our lunch, we watched as several nicely dressed older gentlemen
went into the shop hatless, and came right back out sporting a classic fedora.
After trying on several,
The perfect hats were found.
Being one who loves to sew, these caught Monica’s eye in an apparel boutique.
What a lovely collection of vintage Singers.
We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to slip by Anthropologie. They always offer
such creative inspiration. Each store is filled with extremely unique displays.
Their use of recycled water bottles, fabric cacti and living succulants is quite charming.
The rustic table, worn chairs, brightly colored and fresh dishes along with the fabric and
living plants is a perfect mix of treasures old and new; treasures made and found.
Just before heading home, we stopped for a sweet bite in Union Square to finish off our San Francisco shopping day.
